Laser Operator

Laser Operator
Glenn Hepfner, Incorporated is searching for a Laser Operator to become an integral part of our team due to expanding our customer base! The Laser Operator will also support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, set-up specifications of customer orders, bending, punching and sanding of metal products as instructed by shop manager.
Responsibilities:
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task and follow blueprints to meet product specifications
• Understanding and the use of a caliper, micrometer, tape measure (digital or dial)
• Set up laser machine based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
• Lift raw materials and final products manually, or using hoist
• Ensure parts of the correct quality and quantity emerge from the laser cutting system and are routed to the correct location on shop floor
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and clean-up of laser equipment
• Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system
• Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work
• Benefits and schedule will be discussed. Compensation will be based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time 1st Shift Monday through Friday -7:00am to 3:30pm
Qualifications:
• Experience on laser equipment; preferred BLM Tube and Trumpf Laser
• Ability to read blueprints and other documents
• Knowledge of simple operations in windows based computer environment; preferred in JobBOSS
• Must be able to understand and read written instructions and or directions in work related documents.
• Ability to handle physical workload

General Labor

Glenn Hepfner, Incorporated is searching for General Laborers to become an integral part of our team. General laborer duties may include cleaning job areas, loading and assembly of product and using a variety of tools and machines such as forklifts, power tools and grinders.
Responsibilities:
• Math Skills: Basic math skills
• Familiar with the function of hand tools related to grinding/deburring materials
• Good attention to detail and self-motivated
• Accurately read a tape measure and micrometer
• Execute daily work instructions received from shop manager/supervisor in a timely manner
• Able to work independently through given instruction or as an active member of a team
• Manual dexterity to use hand held tools and shop machines
• Dissemble steel pieces from stamped or laser cut sheets and sort according to order
• Positive attitude and work ethic
• Keep manufacturing areas free of debris and dirt, and set out or put away tools
• Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Benefits and schedule will be discussed. Compensation will be based on experience
