Laser Operator

Glenn Hepfner, Incorporated is searching for a Laser Operator to become an integral part of our team due to expanding our customer base! The Laser Operator will also support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, set-up specifications of customer orders, bending, punching and sanding of metal products as instructed by shop manager.
Responsibilities:
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task and follow blueprints to meet product specifications
• Understanding and the use of a caliper, micrometer, tape measure (digital or dial)
• Set up laser machine based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
• Lift raw materials and final products manually, or using hoist
• Ensure parts of the correct quality and quantity emerge from the laser cutting system and are routed to the correct location on shop floor
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and clean-up of laser equipment
• Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system
• Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work
• Benefits and schedule will be discussed. Compensation will be based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time 1st Shift Monday through Friday -7:00am to 3:30pm


Qualifications:
• Experience on laser equipment; preferred BLM Tube and Trumpf Laser
• Ability to read blueprints and other documents
• Knowledge of simple operations in windows based computer environment; preferred in JobBOSS
• Must be able to understand and read written instructions and or directions in work related documents.
• Ability to handle physical workload

Press Brake Operator

Glenn Hepfner, Incorporated is searching for Brake Press Set-Up Operator to become an integral part of our team. The Brake Press Set-Up Operator involves preparing parts from metal using a press brake, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends, punches, or cuts into metal.
Responsibilities:
• Math Skills: Good math skills will help press brake operator understand complex instructions, how schematics work and make sure items are designed and build correctly
• Problem Solving Skills: Press brake operator will need to know why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors
• Attention to Detail: Press brakes are precision equipment. Being off by millimeters could be a critical error. Keen attention to detail is required
• Mechanical and Technical Skills: Machines controlled by computers will need operators who understand CAD/CAM technology
• Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Benefits and schedule will be discussed. Compensation will be based on experience.

Laser Operator 2nd Shift

Glenn Hepfner, Incorporated is searching for a Laser Operator to become an integral part of our team. The Laser Operator will also support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, set-up specifications of customer orders, bending, punching and sanding of metal products as instructed by shop manager.
Responsibilities:

• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper and Brass.
• Lift raw materials and final products manually, or using hoist
• Ensure parts of the correct quality and quantity emerge from the laser cutting system and are routed to the correct location on shop floor
• De-burring parts with file or grinder
• De-nest and remove laser oxide from parts
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and clean-up of laser equipment
• Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system
• Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
Job Type: Full-time 2nd Shift Monday through Thursday -3:15pm to 2:00am

Qualifications:
• Preferred 2+ years of experience on Cincinnati or Trumpf or similar CNC laser cutting machines (TruDisk/TruFlow preferred); however, willing to train the right person.
• Great work ethic
• Math Skills: Basic math skills
• Must be able to understand and read written instructions and or directions in work related documents.
• Understanding and the use of a caliper, micrometer, tape measure (digital or dial)

TIG & MIG Welders

Glenn Hepfner, Incorporated is seeking a MIG/TIG Welder to become an integral part of our team. The MIG/TIG Welder will use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms.
Responsibilities:
• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products
• Install and repair various equipment and components
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
• Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of experience welding in a production related environment or technical degree in welding or equivalent combination of education and experience desired
• Great work ethic
• Strong mathematical skills
• Good attention to detail
• Familiarity with welding tools and procedures
• Familiar with the function of hand tools related to grinding/deburring materials to achieve proper surface texture.
• proficient in using various measurement tools to establish the configuration or position of a welding plan

Robotic Welder

Robotic Welder/Welder -1st Shift 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday
Provide robotic programming necessary to support quality manufacture of metal products. Help with start-ups, shutdown and changeovers. Implement path and cycle time optimizations to fabricate a quality product as quickly as feasible in a repeatable manner. In addition, perform fabrication of welding using specialized equipment to assemble new metal forms using a variety of metals using techniques of Mig or Tig .
Education:
Experience in manual and robotic weld. Technical degree in welding and/or robotics OR equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
Qualifications:
Exceptional work ethic.
Must be technically proficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong problem solving skills
Able to troubleshoot and adjust robots
Perform set-up and running robotic welding cells
Performs all functions involved in operation of robotic welder including programming
Reads job specifications (e.g.: blueprints, quality control plans) to determine type of welding and material requirements.
Examines finished weldment to verify conformance with specifications according to operator inspection sheet, quality control plans using instruments such as gauges.
Able to perform basic math skills.
Familiar with welding tools and procedures
Set-up components for welding according to specification
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Familiar with the function of hand tools related to grinding/deburring materials to achieve proper surface texture

Examines weld for bead size and other specifications

Keep work space around equipment clean and workable daily

Ability to handle physical workload
